- MEDICAL
This course is taught by Dr Jaya Rao, an affiliate member of BAHRS and highly skilled aesthetic doctor who has personal experience of PRP treatments having undergone scalp injections herself to combat hair loss. Jaya has extensive knowledge of PRP for hair restoration, as well as its use for skin rejuvenation and in combination with other aesthetic treatments.
What is PRP?
A small sample of the patient’s blood is taken from their arm (you must be trained in phlebotomy/venepuncture to take live bloods) and placed into a centrifuge, which separates platelet rich plasma from the red blood cells. The plasma can then be used for both Skin Rejuvenation and Hair Loss.
What are the benefits for my clients?
It can treat:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- A "crepey" neck
- Smaller areas, such as the under eye
- Hair loss
The platelets in our blood contain growth factors, by re-injecting the platelet rich plasma into the skin and hair, the cells in that area can reproduce rapidly, stimulating repair.

Following the course, what support will I receive?
We can contact a supplier on your behalf and provide you with a centrifuge on the day, should you wish to leave ready to start delivering the treatment. The centrifuge is very robust and of the highest quality. It spins up to 4000 RPM. This will need to be pre arranged prior to training, please contact us to discuss this should you require our assistance.
Once you have introduced the treatment to your clinics, our team will be happy to offer advice and guidance should you have any questions. We can be contacted by phone or email and will ensure a prompt response.
FREE observation: If you feel that you need that additional support or life got in the way immediately after training, with adequate notice, we can book you onto the afternoon of another PRP training course to watch the procedure being done on our models. We just ask for a £30 deposit. This can then go on account towards future training, it will not be refunded. If you do not turn up for the observation day, without 2 weeks notice, the deposit will be lost.
