With a medical career spanning over 45 years, Dr Jaya Rao is a highly skilled physician with a wealth of experience as a healthcare professional. She specialised in anaesthesia for many years before moving into palliative medicine in 2005.

Dr Jaya developed an interest in aesthetic medicine over 15 years ago and trained extensively in a variety of aesthetic procedures, including botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, thread lifts, PRP, mesotherapy, advanced electrical epilation and advanced skin treatments. She left hospice medicine to become an independent aesthetic practitioner in 2015 and now runs her own aesthetic clinic, based in Glossop.

Jaya has a particular interest in PRP for hair restoration and skin rejuvenation and is a member of the BAHRS (British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery). This stems from her own personal experience of hair loss. Having undergone several PRP scalp injections herself, as well as treating many patients in her practice, Jaya has witnessed first-hand the significant results that this treatment can have. As Educator for the Facethetics PRP course, Jaya looks forward to sharing her knowledge and experience of this treatment, and enabling other practitioners to help in the fight against hair loss.
